Master Weaver Rose Ann Lee
by Master Weaver Rose Ann Lee
This tapestry measures 16" x 24", c. 1980's, woven by Master Weaver Rose Ann Lee, 88-92 wefts per inch, excellent condition.
Rose Ann Lee was the sister of Master Weaver Barbara Ornelas. Barbara is considered one of the best living Navajo weavers and Rose Ann was her older sister. She passed away in 1996. A piece of Rose Ann's work appears on p. 366, Plate 140 of "The Master Weavers" by Mark Winter.
This tapestry makes a tasteful, simple statement with a double-diamond layout. The blue/grey creates a contrast that allows the rest of the art to sing.
