Master Weaver Lenora Gould

by Master Weaver Lenora Gould

This tapestry measures 28" x 40", woven c. 2005, 90 or more wefts per inch.

The gray and brown wool in this tapestry quickly identifies it as coming from the flock of the Gould family. There are three generations of Master Weavers in this immediate family, Lenora and her mother, Mary Louise Gould and her grandmother, Susie Tom. They appear in Chapter 5:12, p. 352 of "The Master Weavers."

Susie Tom (Mrs. Amos Tom) has a rug featured in Arizona Highways, July 1974 on p. 21 and Mary Louise also has a piece on p. 20. You see the brown and gray wool in both pieces.

Mary Louise is widely known as a spectacular weaver and Lenora followed in her mother and grandmother's footprints. Here is the proof!
